After-Sales Service

It won't turn on.
>
Nothing happens when you press the power button.
(Possible causes: battery fully discharged, faulty charging cable or port, poor power button contact)

1. Check the battery level. If it is fully discharged, charge it for at least 30 minutes, then turn it on again.
2. Swap in another genuine charging cable and adapter to check that it charges normally.
3. Check the charging port for dirt or dust and wipe it gently with a dry cloth.
4. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds or more to force a restart.
The battery drains quickly or won't charge.
>
Battery life has become noticeably shorter even after a full charge, or charging stops partway.
(Possible causes: battery aging (long-term use), use in cold or hot environments, non-genuine charger)

1. Try recharging at room temperature (about 10~35℃) to see whether the issue is temporary and temperature-related.
2. Check that you are using the genuine charger and cable. Non-genuine products may reduce charging performance.
3. Time a full charge from fully discharged and compare it with the normal charging time in the manual.
4. Noting whether the same symptom repeats over several days will help us find the cause when you request after-sales service.
It doesn't work even with new batteries.
>
The device does not power on even after inserting new batteries (replaceable-battery models).
(Possible causes: batteries inserted with the wrong polarity (+/-), mixed batteries, dirt or corrosion on the battery contacts)

1. Check that the batteries match the +/- markings in the battery compartment.
2. Don't mix new and used batteries; replace them all at once with new batteries of the same type (AAA or other alkaline).
3. If you see dirt or rust on the contacts, wipe them gently with a dry cloth.
4. Removing the batteries when the device will not be used for a long time helps prevent contact corrosion.
The display shows BLOW ERROR / FLO.
>
BLOW ERROR or FLO appears on the screen during a test and no result is shown.
(Possible causes: blowing too weakly or too hard, stopping before the beep ends, air leaking between the lips and the mouthpiece, mouthpiece not fully inserted or blocked, inhaling instead of blowing)

1. Check that the mouthpiece is pushed in all the way and its opening is not blocked.
2. Take a deep breath and seal your lips around the mouthpiece so no air escapes.
3. Keep blowing at a steady strength for about 3~5 seconds, until the beep ends.
Readings are higher than expected.
>
The reading is high even though you haven't had a drink or had only a little.
(Possible causes: alcohol remaining in the mouth, testing right after using gum, hand sanitizer, mouthwash or spray air freshener)

1. Wait at least 30 minutes after drinking, then test again.
2. Rinsing your mouth with water just before testing helps reduce error.
3. Avoid gum, hand sanitizer, mouthwash and spray air fresheners just before testing.
4. If readings stay high under the same conditions, the sensor may need checking. Please request calibration.
Readings vary from test to test.
>
Results differ widely between back-to-back tests under the same conditions.
(Possible causes: blowing strength or duration varies each time, reduced sensor sensitivity (sensor drift), storage or use in hot, humid conditions)

1. Keep your technique consistent: blow at the same strength for about 3~5 seconds, until the beep ends.
2. Check that the device has not been stored in direct sunlight or a hot, humid place.
3. If more than 1 year has passed since the last calibration, sensor sensitivity may have changed. Please request calibration.
The mouthpiece is loose or won't fit.
>
The mouthpiece won't stay in place or won't go in all the way.
(Possible causes: mouthpiece for another model or a non-genuine mouthpiece, deformed or damaged mouthpiece, foreign matter in the inlet)

1. Make sure you are using a genuine mouthpiece for your model.
2. Check that the mouthpiece is not bent or cracked; if it is, replace it with a new one.
3. Check that nothing is stuck in the breathalyzer inlet.
4. If a genuine mouthpiece still won't stay in place, please request after-sales service.
The screen is blank or the buttons don't respond.
>
The device seems to have power, but the screen shows nothing or the buttons don't work.
(Possible causes: low battery, temporary device error, damage from a drop, impact or moisture)

1. Charge the battery or insert new batteries, then turn the device on again.
2. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds or more to force a restart.
3. If the device was dropped or got wet, stop using it and request after-sales service. Damage caused by user error is not covered by free after-sales service.
The smartphone app won't connect via Bluetooth.
>
A Bluetooth model (AF-40BT, AFM-5, etc.) won't connect to the ALCOFIND app.
(Possible causes: smartphone Bluetooth or app permission turned off, outdated app version, distance between the breathalyzer and the smartphone)

1. Check that your smartphone's Bluetooth is on and the app has Bluetooth permission.
2. Update the ALCOFIND app to the latest version.
3. Keep the breathalyzer close to your smartphone, restart both the app and the breathalyzer, then try connecting again.
How should I store the breathalyzer?
>
Storage conditions can affect the sensor and battery.
(Avoid: direct sunlight, hot and humid places, dusty places)

1. Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity.
2. After use, keep it in its case so no foreign matter gets into the sensor inlet.
3. If you won't use it for a long time, don't leave it fully discharged, and remove the batteries before storage.
How do I keep mouthpieces hygienic?
>
Mouthpieces touch your mouth directly, so hygiene matters.
(Recommended: replace the mouthpiece after each use whenever possible)

1. Replace the mouthpiece after each use whenever possible.
2. If you reuse one, rinse it with clean water and let it dry completely before use. Long-term reuse is not recommended.
3. In workplaces and public facilities where many people share a device, use a new mouthpiece for each person.
4. Wipe the surface of the device body with a dry cloth and keep it away from moisture.
When and how should I get calibration?
>
Alcohol sensors can gradually lose sensitivity with use and over time, so periodic calibration is needed.
(Recommended interval: typically 1 year, depending on the product and frequency of use)

1. Check whether 1 year has passed since your last calibration. For the exact interval, see your product's user manual.
2. Fill in the Calibration Request Form on the calibration inquiry page, then send the device by courier or bring it to us in person.
3. For questions, contact our Customer Center (032-868-0844).
