Type of Calibration

The calibration is divided into dry gas and wet gas methods.

• Dry gas type

  

  Dry gas method mixes alcohol gas and inert nitrogen without moisture content.

• Wet gas type

  

  Wet gas method mixes water with high-purity alcohol and dilutes to the standard concentration required for calibration.

Each calibration method may vary depending on the type of breathalyzer and the environment in which it is used. The reliability and accuracy of a breathalyzer is maintained through periodic calibration recommended by the manufacturer. Calibration of a breathalyzer must be requested at the place specified by the manufacturer or the seller, and must be performed by suitable equipment and designated experts.

※ Despite the differing calibration cycles of the various models, calibration is recommended every 500 uses or every one year, whichever comes first.
(It is recommended to have calibration service every six months if used frequently.)

※ Used and stored for a long period in a high-temperature and high-humidity environment may cause damage to the breathalyzer.
